Screen Size Recommendations

While IB Marker works on any screen size, we recommend devices with at least a 5-inch display for comfortable reading and answer entry. Larger screens are better for timed exams.

IB Marker requires an active internet connection. Here's what you need:

  • Speed

    1 Mbps or faster is recommended. Slower connections work but may experience delays.

For Timed Exams

For timed exams, use a reliable broadband connection. Your answers auto-save every 10 seconds, but a stable connection ensures nothing is lost.

Here's what to expect in terms of response times:

AI Feedback

Typically 5-15 seconds for exam-style questions. Longer answers may take slightly more time.

Page Loading

Most pages load within 1-3 seconds on a broadband connection.

Auto-Save

During exams, your work saves every 10 seconds automatically.

Session Timeout

Sessions expire after 20 minutes of inactivity. Save your work regularly.

Peak Usage Times

During peak hours (evenings and exam periods), you may experience slightly longer response times. The system automatically scales to handle increased demand.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and how to resolve them:

  • Progress Not Showing

    Try refreshing the page (F5 or Ctrl+R). If that doesn't work, log out and log back in. Your data is always saved on our servers.

  • Slow AI Feedback

    Wait 5-15 seconds for feedback. If it takes more than 30 seconds, refresh the page. Your answer is still saved.

  • Display Issues

    Clear your browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete). This won't affect your saved data and often fixes visual glitches.

  • Login Problems

    Use the "Forgot Password" link to reset your password. Check your spam folder for the reset email.

  • Connection Errors

    Check your internet connection. Try switching networks (e.g., mobile data instead of WiFi) to identify the issue.
