Dashboard Overview
Your dashboard is your home base in IB Marker. It provides a quick overview of your learning activity and fast access to all features.
First Time User?
When you first log in, an interactive tutorial will guide you through the dashboard. You can replay this tutorial anytime from Settings.
Quick Access Cards
The dashboard features quick access cards that take you directly to key features:
Practice
Jump straight into practice mode to answer questions and improve your skills.
Exams
Start a simulated exam with adaptive difficulty based on your performance.
University Path
Explore university badges and track your progress toward unlocking achievements.
Multiplayer
Challenge friends or join public games for competitive learning.
Your Statistics
The statistics grid at the top of your dashboard shows your key metrics at a glance:

Active Assignments
Number of assignments currently due. Assignments with approaching deadlines are highlighted.

Average Score
Your overall average score across all practice and exam attempts.

Study Time
Total time spent learning on the platform this week or month.

Achievements
Number of badges and milestones you've earned.
Managing Notifications
The notification bell in your dashboard keeps you informed about important updates. There are 8 types of notifications:
Friend Requests
Someone wants to connect with you. Accept to add them to your friends list.
Messages
New direct messages from friends or classmates.
Game Invitations
Friends have invited you to join a multiplayer game session.
Class Invitations
A teacher has invited you to join their class.
Milestone Completions
Celebrate! You've achieved a learning milestone or unlocked a badge.
New Assignments
Your teacher has posted a new assignment for your class.
Exam Results
Your simulated exam has been marked and results are ready to view.
Assignment Due
Reminders when assignment deadlines are approaching.
Notification Preferences
Customise which notifications you receive in your Settings. You can enable or disable each type individually.
Customization (Premium)
Premium subscribers can personalise their dashboard experience:

Theme Selection
Choose from multiple colour themes to customise the look of your dashboard. Options include dark mode, light mode, and accent colour variations.

Icon Reordering
Drag and drop quick access cards to arrange them in your preferred order. Put your most-used features front and centre.

Friends & Messaging
Connect with classmates and study partners through IB Marker's social features.
Finding Friends

Search by Username
Use the friend search to find other students by their username or email address.

Send Friend Request
Click the "Add Friend" button to send a request. They'll receive a notification to accept or decline.

Start Connecting
Once accepted, you can message each other, see their activity, and invite them to games.
Direct Messaging

Private Conversations
Send direct messages to friends for study discussions, sharing tips, or coordinating multiplayer sessions.

Message History
Your conversations are saved so you can reference past discussions anytime.
Anti-Player Management
If you encounter someone you'd prefer not to interact with, you can manage your block list:
Blocking Users
Blocked users cannot send you friend requests, messages, or game invitations. Manage your block list from Settings > Privacy.
Leaderboards
Compete with students worldwide and track your ranking on our leaderboards.
Global Leaderboard
See how you rank against all IB Marker students. Rankings are based on XP earned from practice, exams, and achievements.
Team Leaderboard
Join or create teams to compete collectively. Team rankings combine the XP of all members.
Friends Leaderboard
A personalised view showing only your friends' rankings for friendly competition.
Subject Leaderboards
Filter by subject to see who's leading in specific IB subjects like Biology, Economics, or Mathematics.
Weekly Resets
Some leaderboards reset weekly, giving everyone a fresh chance to climb the rankings. Check the leaderboard header for reset times.
